Other major updates

- I am doing more at my job

- I am going to do serious upgrades to my bedroom on my own time and really organize the space

- I plan on making a website better than just a blog haha

Does it work and will I finish…We’ll see.  Hopefully I’ll finish these goals.

to my added friends on pokemon sleep

 Hi! So…SO i started pokemon sleep… this is me:

I couldn’t log in yesterday cause I lost my phone and it took my till today to find it. I have been a pretty active player otherwise!

Speaking of pokemon, haven’t finished crocheting bulbasaur yet bc I thought I’d start fresh and make it a little more simplistic in design, and rather smaller and less complex and big. My first attempt had been pieced together oddly and looked too big for what I was going for. HOWEVER I did crochet Toro Inue!

(My nails looked so nice in this pic but recently they broke a bit & are short again.. boo)

Toro Inue is cute!! I love crocheting him, it’s so much fun to make the face too.  The pattern I found by MischyKnots - here’s her site if you want to see:

She’s also super nice cause she sends the funds she makes to help kids in Jakarta. Someday I’d like to support cause for people in need too, thru my crafts/handmade things and maybe even with my comic art and illustrations.

Ok so pokemon sleep. I love how it’s like a sleep tracker/log, I love the  design/UI/aesthetic of the game, i  LOVE the cooking and I love the pokemon collect aspect as it motivates you to sleep. But I wish there was like a quality of sleep update. 

Like in the research friend tab something you could ping that says stuff like:

“Pulled an all nighter”

“Had trouble sleeping”

“Slept well! No issues!”

“Woke up in the middle of the night..”

“Had a CRAZY dream”

“Nightmare - had a horrible dream…”

“Had a nice dream !!”

“Slept deeply was so tired” 

Or yea, something like that you know…? And maybe even reasons why you couldn’t track sleep for a night.

Like..

“Phone battery died”

“Couldn’t find my phone!” (That was my case ha)

“Phone didn’t track for some odd reason even as I used it”

“Moved houses recently”

“Phone fell off the bed”

“Sister/brother stole my phone”

ETC ETC!

And even to input a custom reason/quality of sleep 

Like a little text box where you can write notes, or just explain why you could or couldn’t  sleep. Obv there’d be a limit to how much you could write.  But it could be helpful!

Now on crochet - I plan to finish bulbasaur soon. I haven’t forgotten and certainly not gave up, and then I can move to the next pkmn. I just wanna take it slow like a passion project and not worry about time frames too much.

 I don’t care if I finish all the pokemon (everything up to Sinnoh, check my last blog post in case haha) — if I finish everything by the time I’m 45 years old. I am Ok with that!! I want to do this!! And even if it takes many many years. That’s totally ok w me.

 I think it’s totally something that can be done. Other people have crocheted tons of pokemon too. It’s a thing, so this goal is in reach. It just is up to me to take time and spend time on it to finish many of them, in the span of however many weeks/months/years. But yea it’ll be fun!

Starting a new crazy project/major life update (graduated art school)

I recently graduated SVA.

I am so relieved. 

I remember writing in my journal entry though, I didn’t really like my experience at SVA.

There were a couple reasons I didn’t have a very great time at SVA. But to shorten it… 

1. there were many times where people were very rude to me on many occasions. There was a lot of competition and harsh criticism that I didn’t really benefit from. A lot of rudeness . Some kids spoke to me like I was incompetent.

2. Feedback on my work/story/ideas was mostly unhelpful to me…minimal…and I didn’t share my stuff casually like with classmates, cause nobody really seemed to want to interact  or communicate.

3. Identity politics/cancel culture/social justice warrior and drama was RAMPANT  . People would talk negatively about other students, and there was a lot of.. like..if you don’t agree with me, we can’t be friends? Stuff. Like they weren’t tolerant of other people’s opinions if they didn’t agree. Lots of talk about respecting everybody to a particular degree, over the top to be honest…. but I did not feel respected there (me as an autistic woman with plenty of challenges)

4. did not find a feminism/disability advocate group I liked. There really wasn’t many.  And…I Emailed clubs to join, they didn’t get back to me until the very end, and I never got to really fully utilize the Fiber arts club which I really wanted to try .

Anyway, enough of that… SVA sucked, whatever… at least I’m done and I can move on with my life and hopefully get a job. Might work at the museum again this summer! But I’ll be looking at the jobs for art related stuff like a crazy person, most likely. 

I also started a big project.  

I am going to try to crochet every Pokemon in the Pokédex  

From HGSS/Platinum and earlier, I can’t possibly do everything after… so from Bulbasuar to Arceus  

So.. everything in

1  Kanto Pokédex

2  Johto Pokédex 

3  Hoenn Pokédex 

4  Sinnoh Pokédex 

I wanted to do BW and BW2, so like Snivy, Tepig, Oshowwott and all the Unova pokemon but… I’m gonna start with this  for now, :-)

That’s… 493 pokemon to crochet :-00000

Right now I’m making bulbasaur :-)

Anyway, since we’re on crochet as a topic I’ll share the Miffy I made ! A while back

Here’s her with overalls I made for her (the overalls are removable) :-)

So in the next couple weeks I’ll be crocheting the Kanto pokemon. 

I will update after I finish each Pokemon. 

So I will upload a finished pic photo of bulbasaur when completed.  

He’ll be amazing but he’s a little hard to make cause of the interesting chunky little body shape, but I can do it! I am pretty confident I can think of strategies to help this process. 

Also I may upload in progress / process photos but it’ll mostly be posts when I’m done (meaning, FULLY COMPLETE) with each one—- one at a time.  So.. bulbasaur , then charmander, squirtle, onwards, etc etc, onwards from there, you get the idea. ;; haaaa ^^;;

Also don’t expect perfect timing, like at the end of Week 1 I’ll be DONE with ___ pokemon. At Week 2, expect ____ pokemon fully finished…. Nope. 

If I complete it in an exact week, that’s awesome. But I probably will need to take time for each. 2 weeks or more, rarely less. I have ADHD. sorry. lol. 

And no, I’m not actually sorry I was being sarcastic hmm

But yeah I can’t fix that, so that’s something that will just be the case. But I will try to add a quick update saying my progress if I don’t finish in a pretty decent while. I don’t wanna complete neglect this project either and disappear, so I’ll make sure to explain if something happens. 

If all goes well, yay!

If worst comes to worst and I find out 493 pokemon is too much to crochet at all and is overwhelming me, I’ll let ya know and I’ll stop the project I hope that doesn’t happen cause I genuinely want a fun challenge you know? I genuinely want to challenge myself and make this happen. But if it just doesn’t work out, it’s ok. 

Also, I’ll need space to put all the finished pokemon. 

I have plenty of closet space, so I may need containers to store the finished projects but the favorites of the Pokemon I can keep out / display openly. I just gotta consolidate. You know? Haha :-)

Sorry I haven’t written on this blog in a while too - with all that’s been going on, I’ve been incredibly busy and now I have burn out. 

So I am a bit little slow with blogging recently. 

It should go back to normal soon. 

Also, I was gonna post something a while back with new art/drawings, it’s my drafts, so if I post it and it seems old it’s because I wanted to post it like months ago. Expect a new post soon. Haha!

Deadmau5. I don’t understand any of his tweets. He’s so confusing. But I do enjoy his music… ha… (if you like chill / house EDM or just EDM that has build up with funky fresh beats he’s pretty good to listen to—) (fav song by him? not sure, probably strobe or raise your weapon, I also really like phantoms hang, and I also like I remember, I remember was the first song I listened to by him and is very relaxing and quite an experience)

Deadmau5 and skrillex wearing Batman comic shirts. I hope neither musicians find this lol. I like this idea.

 I don’t see why I make Joker = skrillex and Batman = deadmau5, I guess it’s because both Batman and Deadmau5 wear animal masks? Though Batman is bat obv and Deadmau5 is a mouse, plus deadmau5’s mask is much bigger like a big head while Batman’s is like a slip on bat mask. I don’t know lol. Also skrillex collaborated more with other musicians, of any genre, and that reminds me of Joker being more of a “gang leader”, while Batman prefers to work alone, right, similar to deadmau5 who only collaborated with only a few similar electronic musicians.  I don’t know if any of these things line up, but I thought they were somewhat related. :-)

She’s so much fun to draw so I like to draw her in different ways.  I really like & enjoy drawing the female body, so I can sometimes go overboard. What can I say I love women :-)  but if it is a little jarring compared to the rest of the image, I totally get that and apologize if that makes anyone feel weird, it wasn’t necessarily on purpose - sometimes when I doodle I mix up stuff that’s mild nsfw with regular stuff— doodling really makes me just think less about those types of things. I just let my hand flow.
