So most people agree that autism is a spectrum. High functioning low functioning are not the same.
High functioning have challenges such as… erm
- ocd
- depression
- adhd
- stress management
- making friends
- anxiety
But their challenges are somewhat severe but not severe enough to limit their ability to function in society. It becomes more of an “impairment”, if that makes sense, not a “extremely hard, almost impossible to manage challenge”
Low functioning…I think I should make a comparison that isn’t hurtful. If the wording in this makes anyone feel uncomfortable, I sincerely apologize, I do not intend to. I just have a hard time explaining these things and this is the first thing I can think of..
Low functioning = rabbit, bunny rabbit
The reason why I say this is bc low function often has severe speech impairments, sometimes they make noises to express themselves but a lot of them cannot express speech and can’t talk like regular people, not even like high functioning
I also compare them to a bunny rabbit because they are not only verbally impaired but are shy, scared, sometimes extremely anxious, and thus we should treat them softly and like you would approach an animal, with kindness and acknowledge that this person is very different from you
They’re also like foxes or squirrels? Because sometimes they do start hitting, or physically touching the people around them, like their caretakers. Simply because they don’t understand that they shouldn’t do this, and don’t really know how to control their anxiety
My thoughts are…
Why can’t high functioning kids with autism and kids without any disability (neurotypical), be in the same schools?
Of course low functioning is a different scenario but..
In my experience, anyway, special ed was hell. Most autistic kids I knew would also bully or insult other autistic kids. It’s like putting a bunch of angry tarantulas in a room of angry scorpions. Neither can resolve conflict in a reasonable manner. I was probably like the skittish spider in that scenario, because I desperately avoided any sort of conflict. And yes that often resulted in me being bullied, or hurt, or insulted
So it’s not like “nt kids would bully kids with asd” or whatever because “we’re so different and nt wouldn’t be able to understand autism as a concept”
In fact most neurotypcial kids I knew growing up were very supportive of me and even much kinder and gentler than the autistic ones.
It’s because nt kids become like the “conflict diffuser”
Not all the time, but..
They can’t always understand why autistic kids might do something different, but they are able of a lot of emotional intelligence (not everyone of course, and I’m not saying autistic kids don’t have emotional intelligence obviously)..and their response is more neutral than a kid with autism.
Autistic kids at times need , and would deeply appreciate , nt kids.
Kids that don’t have as many different and strange struggles or challenges…
They would almost be able to take care of them, if done correctly and taught by teachers who are kindhearted and open and honest
It’s like, kids with autism have so many struggles, sometimes we are not taught basic things like emotional intelligence,
Perspective taking,
Being kind to other people.
I’ve always tried my best to be kind but I make mistakes, and because I have autism and girls are not always diagnosed properly (which is stupid and sexist..misogyny right there), I was only really around autistic boys growing up, with their own issues and struggles that needed to be worked out for them. (I never had a “best female friend” sadly, still trying to find though)
I was surrounded by them constantly that i never figured out some of my own issues then, and am still working on these issues now, because the boys with asd were prioritized, like most men are, regardless of disability
It wasn’t fair bc it’s like they expected men with autisim have a worse time, that girls can’t experience any feelings, that girls are so brainless and mindless and optimistic and happy with everything that they can’t even feel depressed, that girls are just for sexual purpose and don’t have their own issues..
I hated that
And then people say..
“Well, men are oppressed too!”
Actually, they're not.
Why do you think when boys wear dresses or act feminine, other men make fun of them?
Because they’re acting like girls, and..
Girls = stupid??
See the irony there?
men being oppressed, they would be oppressed for being black men, being gay or bisexual, being feminine men or breaking gender norms, or being autistic.. Not for just “being men”! It’s really frustrating
Because people deny misyongoy and hate towards women so much
So explain to me, then, human trafficking,
Degradation of women bodies,
“Sex slaves”
“Misogyny fetish” (when i saw that i almost threw up, and i cried inside ..ew)
Feminism being “radical” when it’s just women trying to have a space to talk about their issues openly, trans people or not, it doesn't matter- just trying to talk about their own issues without being judged or told their “wrong” or “stupid" (it literally doesn’t make any sense)
What is radical about feminism? Women being treated right, having equal rights to men, trans can try to understand? Nothing
Men just want to be on top all the time
Also just look up porn, spanking porn, wife porn, and you’ll see how much videos of women are out there
Statistically there is SO MUCH MORE SUBMISSIVE WOMEN THAN MEN
Femdom is a tiny little population.. and it’s simply because some men like to see women be more assertive
Being assertive… is not the same.. as being “dominant” or whatever
Advocating for yourself is important
People say dominant during sex means evil, nasty, bad..
It’s not. It should be “hey I get turned on by letting out some anger and feelings on the other person and hurting them sometimes but I acknowledge that she’s a person too, she’s giving her body up for me and i respect her for that and i care about her deeply”
It’s the same thing as men being showered as “the bad guys”
I just want women and men to get along and, and even love each other
Men + women + people in the world regardless of race or sexual orientation etc=❤️🌎☮️ !
Not just romantically, sexually, but in general, in daily life

hey, I love men. I love women. I even love trans men and women, high school drama out of the way. my friend is nonbinary and as much as i dont understand that fully, i respect my friend. I deeply love how everyone is different and unique.. No one shows the same sort of love back, because they’re too busy arguing over who’s right, and who’s wrong, and competing for air to speak
Also.. if feminism was radical (in the english language radical means extreme, as an actual definition), then why isn’t Black Lives Matter being yelled at for being “leftist” propaganda ?

But like..
Reverse racism means “white people can be oppressed” which is Not True (Read your history books people) (the civil war happened over the problem of having black slaves!! White people wanted to keep their black slaves)
Misandary means “men can be oppressed” again Not True (If you look at history of women being silenced and raped, sometimes women were slaves too in places, also black women were even more bc they were women and black at the same time.. it isn’t fair to them either..) (also: women couldn't vote, women had to stay at home, women didnt have education, in many countries girls STILL cant go to school, FGM [female genitial mutilation = BAD], women being forced into sex, women are highest percentage of r*pe victims, silencing women, unhealthy beauty standards being forced upon women, medical alterations of the natural female body ie botox plastic surgery even some surgeries for transitioning for FTM female to male people are very dangerous...plenty more)
So..
Misandary is the gender equavilant of reverse racism!
Also, men can hve feelings, feel pain, and be sad, and be hurt, and this is totally valid

Then why are men allowed to be angry about feeling bad?
It’s a natural human emotion…
I just wish men could understand, feminism isn’t witchcraft.. it isn’t a threat to men.. it’s just a response to the trauma of being female..
I do my best to say this calmly, even with people with opposing views, but..
it feels like people don’t listen..or even care at all.. i try to care about their views, but they don’t seem to do the same with mine..

But yea if kids with autism and nt kids mixed, it might be a good way to bring people together despite differences, and also add variety to relationships
So everyone can be somewhat happy
Also, people often worry autisitc kids would “lash out” or something
This isn’t really a problem if everyone speaks about their issues openly, because the real reason why someone might “lash out” is bc they can’t express their feelings or are scared to talk about it
Maybe nt kids would help encourage autistic kids to say their feelings more
Again I’m not sure about what is best
I can’t solve all the problems in the world
But I do soemtimes believe that this could be a potential solution
Obviously it isn’t a black and white problem
Obviously there are plenty of grey areas,
But yea
